Visitors view SAAG members' art on display at the Gala Opening of the Lake Champlain Quadricentennial and the Franco-American
Heritage Festival in St. Albans Bay. June 18-20, 2009.
The art show for the Quadricentennial/Franco American Heritage Festival was a huge success!
All in all it turned out to be a wonderful 3 day show despite the weather which was rainy and cloudy
the whole weekend. However the art stayed dry in the beautiful Stone House at St. Albans Bay. At right, SAAG VP Karen Day-Vath
chats with Governor Douglas at the Gala Reception.
Artist members of the Guild who displayed their art were: Tinka Martell, Linda Clark, Louise Counos, Dale Powers, Barbara Hamm, Karen Day-Vath, Clair Dunn, Meta Strick, Beverly Monteil, Bob Chaperon, Jr., Jane Bower, Beth Maginn, Jill Snapp, Paule Gingras, David Juaire, Melvin Harris, and Stina Plant. Nonmembers joining in were: Cynthia Peterson, Ann Allen and Mary Reed.
Nine pieces of artwork were sold during the show by artists Ann Allen, Paule Gingras, David Juaire, Bob Chaperone, Jr., Beth Maginn, and Linda Clark.
The Puzzle Piece Silent Auction went well and we thank the artists who joined in the Art Fits
Vermont puzzle piece project and donated their puzzle pieces for the show which were auctioned to benefit (SAFF).
Members Puzzle Pieces are here.
