What's Happening

Vermont Arts Council Donates AOA Work to SAAG

Clair Dunn and Alex Aldrich with Curtis Hale's Sketch

Saturday the 17th, The Vermont Arts Council donated a sketch of Martin Bridge, near Plainfield, to the Saint Albans Artists' Guild. The graphite sketch is by Art of Action artist, Curtis Hale. Guild Secretary, Clair Dunn, was on hand at the Union Station Gallery to accept the work from VAC Director Alex Aldrich. The work will hang in the St. Albans Public Library.


Guild Member's Work Graces the Jay Resort Clubhouse Lobby


The 15th Hole, by Paule Gingras

Paule Gingras was asked by the Jay Peak Resort to do a large (54" x 40"), acrylic painting of the 15th hole of their golf course.

The canvas was gallery stretched and custom-framed by another Guild Member, D.J. Pattullo.

Bring a small dish (preferably with something in it) to share and/or a beverage. ALSO, please bring a chair, or at least have one in your car that can be fetched if needed.
Presentation and brief agenda will occur when the crowd is sufficient!

Paper Cut Workshop

Cost: $75 per person

It's All About Seeing! Create an intricate work of art using international papers, paints in gold, silver and black, and two dimensional embellishments. Special papers available for sale at the class. Taught by Sandra fw Beaty, teacher and artist who has worked and exhibited her paper cut pieces from Alexandria and Atlanta to Egypt and Enosburg.

What's going on . . .

SAAG Member's Work at Flynn's Tarrant Gallery

Corliss Blakely's Visions of Nature exhibit is at the Amy E. Tarrant Gallery at the Flynn Center in Burlington through September 25. Open to the public on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and always viewable by Flynn events attendees. Announcement image is on Corliss's home page.

N.B.: SAAG Meetings will be Monthly

Starting in July, General SAAG Meetings will be held the THIRD THURSDAY of the month.

SAAG Member Showing in Chaffee Art Center

Karen Day-Vath has been juried into the Chaffee Art Center in Rutland and will be showing in the Members Exhibition June 11 - August 8, 2010. Opening is Friday, June 11, 5-8 p.m.

4 SAAG Members at the Farmer's Market

From now through October, Meta Strick, Paule Gingras, Karen Day-Vath, and Clair Dunn will be at the Farmer's Market every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Stop by to chat and soak in St. Albans!
